Church Planting Applications
Our church planting application process is a relational process that begins with discernment conversations before a formal application begins. Please contact our Gregory House Executive Director, Amy Patton, at amypatton@churchrez.org
Our diocese offers residencies at multiple churches
Five churches in our diocesan family are offering Ministry Residencies for the 2021–22 ministry year. Learn more about our participating churches and their vision for ministry below. In your application, there will be a section to indicate which locations you are interested in applying at.
As you pray about applying for a residency, we encourage you to learn more about us:
- Phase One: Submit Online Form
First, listen to our 5S and 5M teachings.
After you have listened to the 5S and 5M teachings, spend time in prayer and discernment. Make sure that you have reviewed the two kinds of residencies that Gregory House offers (a Ministry Residency and a Church Planting Residency). Then, complete the Phase One form of the application. (Applications are currently closed.)
- Phase Two: Complete Application Via Email
Following our review of your Phase One form, we will notify you whether you have been progressed to Phase Two. If you proceed, you will receive an emailed copy of the Phase Two application, which is a PDF document. Download and complete the PDF application, and submit it via email according to the instructions.
If you have any questions about our application status, please contact us.
- Phase Three: Interviews
Your Phase Two application will be reviewed by our leadership team. If you proceed to the next stage, an initial interview will be scheduled. Depending on the nature of your residency, additional interviews may occur.
- Phase Four: Fundraising (Select Residencies)
Vocational ministry—especially church planting—often requires fundraising. Therefore, many of our Residencies utilize fundraising as part of our training curriculum. Church Planting residents are required to raise 50% of their salary, with Gregory House supplying the remainder.
