Andy and Sara grew up as missionary kids in Senegal and Argentina respectively, a formational experience that helped them see the beauty of Jesus from an early age. After returning to the US for college, they were married in 2005 and completed PhDs at Notre Dame in political science (Andy) and literature (Sara), ultimately ending up in the Twin Cities when Andy began teaching at Bethel University in 2013.

Their first Anglican church experience was attending All Saints Cathedral during two months in Cairo, Egypt. They visited Church of the Redeemer on their first Sunday in Minnesota and have been there ever since. Andy is on the preaching team and previously served on the vestry and as senior warden. Sara is on the Children’s Leadership Team and regularly participates in leading worship. They have three daughters and a son and as a family love welcoming people into their home.
