About
Seth grew up in a Christian home in Oklahoma and New Hampshire. Although he was baptized at eight, God fell into the background until his senior year of High School, when a period of rebellion and depression culminated in going “all-in” with Jesus. While playing football and studying “Law, Politics, and Society” at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, Seth stumbled into growth and maturity through campus ministry worship and leadership opportunities.
Jodie grew up in an Iowa farming family, attending a small rural church. While playing volleyball and studying Psychology at Central College in Pella, IA Jodie encountered Jesus in powerful and profound ways through involvement in church and campus ministries.
Ministry Residency
Seth and Jodie met shortly after graduating college. They quickly discovered a common fire love for God and passion for doing ministry together, spending three years as campus missionaries with InterVaristy Christian Fellowship. Beginning with a discovery of church history, they began a journey seeking God’s “one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church,” culminating in the move from Iowa to Minnesota to join the Diocese of the Upper Midwest and joining the movement “to plant a revival of Word and Sacrament infused by the Holy Spirit.” At the conclusion of our residency, we hope to return to Iowa to plant a church bringing together all that we have learned in our history of doing ministry together.
In our residency, we are currently focused on learning and gaining experience in areas of church ministry that went undeveloped while doing college ministry: namely youth and children’s ministry, systems and scheduling, and neighborhood outreach. Seth is also currently working on a distance Master of Arts in Theological Studies with an Anglican Specialization from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY.
